Eight Lugnut players were selected by the Midwest League managers to take part in the 2004 Midwest League All-Star Game on June 22nd in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The eight players selected were the most for any team in the league and also establish a franchise record for players selected to the Midwest League's version of the Midsummer Classic.

Four position players were selected to the team, with first baseman Brian Dopirak and outfielders Kevin Collins and Chris Walker named as starters for the Eastern Division All-Stars. Collins will be the designated hitter. Jake Fox was selected as a reserve. Dopirak(.277, 18 HR, 43 RBI) and Collins(.306, 17 HR, 45 RBI) have been near the top of many offensive categories all season long and have helped Lansing blast a Midwest League best 65 homers as a team. Walker has been the team's primary centerfielder and is hitting .303 on the season with a league-best 27 steals. The Alpharetta, GA native has also collected two hitting streaks of 10 or more games. Fox is hitting .280 with five homers and 25 RBI and has played 47 games as a catcher and designated hitter for Lansing in 2004.

On the pitching side, starters Billy Petrick and Carlos Marmol were named to the team along with relievers Clay Rapada and Adalberto Mendez. Petrick(7-3, 2.93) has been Lansing's biggest winner while Marmol(6-1, 2.85) isn't far behind and Lansing is 10-1 in games that Marmol has pitched in. Mendez(2-1, 3.34, 16 SV) and Rapada(4-3, 3.19) join their teammates in Iowa out of the bullpen.
