Lansing, MI – The 2006 Lugnuts season is less than two months away and you can get a head start on being a part of all the excitement by checking out the eleventh annual Lansing Lugnuts job fair next Saturday, February 18th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Oldsmobile Park. Interested individuals can find information about seasonal job openings, fill out an application for employment and receive an on-the-spot interview.
The Lugnuts will be hiring for all areas of the ballpark, including food service, retail, janitorial and customer service positions. Applicants can expect a fast-paced work environment and need to exhibit a desire to learn. Most positions require no previous experience, just a willingness to go the extra mile for the fans. On average, the Lugnuts employ 250 hard working and energetic seasonal workers from March through September.
“People are our most important asset and hiring a friendly, energetic staff for our seasonal jobs is one of our top priorities each year,” said Lugnuts General Manager Jeff Calhoun.
All employees are eligible for tickets to games and retail discounts. The Lugnuts offer flexible hours, however individuals will be required to work a variety of days during Lugnuts’ home games. Training for new employees will begin in March.
The best way to get a job at Oldsmobile Park this summer will be to attend the job fair on February 18. Applicants who cannot attend the job fair can also apply in person at Oldsmobile Park Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
